My First Father's Day

It's my first Father's Day! So what's so great about today? Well, just being a dad I guess. It's cool to be "Papa". Jojo and I spent some time playing this morning. He is growing up fast! :-)

Yesterday was Josiah's three-month birthday and he's really starting to develop his mobility. He can now push himself along on his back by digging his heels into the ground and pushing. But the most exciting thing is his work on crawling. He can lie on his tummy while lifting his head up high, push up with his arms, and kick his legs. He doesn't move too much that way, but he's making progress. It's pretty exciting!

Mikel, we are now Dads. We have entered a state of existence where life will never be the same. There is no turning back. How great it is and how wonderful to know the love of the Father at a deeper level. He loves us so much.

Happy Father's day to you too (thanks for the wish on my site). What did you guys do for the big F-Day? I hope you had a good one.

Well, it wasn't quite as exciting as the pictures I saw on your site (no bashing beer cans with baseball bats!), but it was good nonetheless. The best thing is that Josiah and I had a lot of playtime together.

Yeah, it does kind of teach you more about how God is such a good Father to us--even when we're whiney and fussy! We need to learn to relax admist hard times and trust our Father more. He's bigger than us and our problems. And He has so much to teach us about love, Himself and His family.
