Back from Sacramento

Jojo slept most of the plane trip this time. It was raining pretty hard by the time we got to the airport down here. I think the storm we had in Sacramenot followed us home!

All in all, it wasn't that much more difficult travelling with a baby. I thought it would be a lot harder. There are just more things to think ahead about. At least Southwest was a really good airline in terms of helping us get pre-boarded and get off the plane right away.

Tonight is JCF's 1st ever Concert of Prayer for Local and Global Ministry! There have been a lot of things "going wrong" with this event, but I am sure it will come together in the end. Pray that some people in attendance might be led to partner with us in our mission, too. Three other churches will come and join us for this thing. It should be good.

Note from Sacramento

Thanksgiving went well yesterday. I read Abraham Lincoln's Thanksgiving Proclaimation and a passage from 1 Thessalonians to inject some spirituality into the mealtime.

Today, we went to a place called Apple Hill up in the mountains where people go to get Christmas trees around here. We got to see people making apple cider and all kinds of crafts. The had a farmer's market area and a pond where Christine used to go fishing as a kid. It was nice for her to share the fun of nature with Jojo.

Tomorrow, we'll be heading back to our home sweet home! Pray for Jojo's second plane trip. May it go as well as his first.

Flight to Sacramento

Yesterday, Josiah did really well on the plane to Sacramento. He didn't cry once! He's been a good little traveller, although he's now getting over a slight cold and cough.

This afternoon, Christine and I were blessed to have a brief witnessing time with a couple of family members. One was a bit of a relativist, while the other was kind of an animist. Pray for more good opportunities to glorify God tomorrow, on the day of Thanksgiving.

Look what Jojo can do now!

Guess what Jojo can do now? Jojo's crawling (in his own special way)! Besides that, he can also pull himself up and stand! Check out these short video clips of the boy in action:

Jojo Crawling
Jojo Standing

Pray for us as Josiah will be getting on his first plane very soon. We'll be flying up to Sacramento to visit my in-laws for Thanksgiving. It's just an hour flight, but it wil be his first. It will be a god "test-run" for the big mission trip next year!

Ask God to help us be good ambassadors for him as we interact with "cultural Christians" and unbelieving relatives up North. May the Lord guide our conversation and bring himself glory through our trip.
