Josiah's Sick

We took Jojo to the pediatrician ahead of schedule yesterday since he's been sick. I think he caught a cold and cough from some other babies at church on Sunday. His little nose is red and he looks all sad. :-( So we've been giving him some medicine the doctor recommended. Pray he gets well soon.

Amidst the sad stuff, we had some fun, too. We played with a bunch of toys at Toys R Us. That cheered him up a bit. We saw dancing Elmos, stuffed animals, and plush dolls of the Muppet Babies (they even come with DVDs of the cartoon)! I wanted to get them all for him: Fozzie, Piggy, Kermit, Gonzo, etc... It sure brings back memories of 1987! But at $16 a pop, we just enjoyed them at the store. Christine got Jojo a booster chair so he can sit at the table while he eats. She also got some little stickers of bears for his room. It looks really nice in there now.

I heard that medicinal marijuana pills really help kids to feel better when they're sick. :) I hope JoJo gets better really soon.

Noah is sick too. It's such a bummer. Actually, the 3 of us are all sick in this journey together.

Don't you need a doctor's perscription for that? I'm pretty sure our pediatrician frowns on that kind of thing. ;-) But seriously, I'm sorry to hear about your family's shared illness. We'll pray for you all.

Thanks Mikel. I appreciate the prayers. We're starting to feel a little better on the whole, but Jen is still out of it a bit. Yeah, I think you need approval from the doctor for the plant. And I think it mostly comes in pills too, but maybe rolled up too. I don't get high all that often, so I wouldn't really know... :)

Good to hear things are looking up. We're getting better now, too. We've got a trip scheduled to the doctor for Jojo's next checkup (and shots!) tommorrow.
